Strategy
In the initial
sales call - long before we have any commitment from you - the first
aspect we study is the overall business strategy for your site. Among
the factors we look at are:
- The nature of your business
- The characteristics of
your customers and prospects
- The specifics of your
products or services
- Your relation to your
competition
- Your current business
strategy
- Your experience with the
Internet
Once we have an understanding
of these issues, we can design a Web site for you that will achieve
the goals you set for it.

Text
Text is the basic element of any Web site. Yet it can be difficult to
read from a computer screen. Therefore we take great care in writing
for your Web site. Here are some of standards we strive to:
- Short, easily understood
sentences
- Column widths of 65 characters
or less
- Bulleted text when appropriate
- Assisting high listings
in search engines
- Minimal jargon
- Optimal text size

Graphics
We believe that graphics need to be used appropriately in getting your
message across and enhancing your image. Properly used a picture is
worth a thousand words. We often use collage images to show many aspects
of a business a single image. Improperly used a picture can waste a
thousand seconds for your visitor. We strive to strike a balance between
graphics that get your point across and download quickly. You can see
examples of how we have achieved this balance in many of the sample
sites in our Showcase section.

Layout
The layouts of our Web sites support the emerging standards of good
Web design. These include:
- A consistent look throughout
the site
- Optimal contrast between
text and background colors
- Defined sections for identification,
content and navigation
- Designs which minimize
horizontal scrolling
- Designs which promote
readability

Navigation
Our beliefs on navigation are simple:
- Navigation elements should
look obvious
- Navigation should clearly
indicate where they lead to
- Navigation must indicate
where the visitor is
- Navigation should be as
simple as possible
- Navigation must make finding
information easy
- Navigation must promote
the information you need your visitors to see
